Every year the San Angelo Police Officers Coalition donates money and time to benefit numerous charities, groups and organizations in San Angelo.
To help us better serve you and our community we share, please feel free to join our mission by participating in any of our events.
Since 2020, HEB has donated $12,500 to San Angelo Police Officer's Association Charities as a sponsorship to fund the Thanksgiving Meals program that has been named Turkey Patrol.
HEB has done this as a part of their Feast of Sharing Program and has committed to continuing sponsorship of the program. Last year they donated $5,000 and we were able to provide Thanksgiving meals to 25 families and the Concho Valley Home for Girls.
Nominations for the program have come from SAISD Middle and High School counselors and at-risk coordinators, Child Protection Investigators working with families, and the Children's Advocacy Center Hope House program.
Every year staff from the San Angelo Independent School District identify and suggest children who would benefit the most from our program.
The children are taken to Walmart where they get to pick items to purchase. Volunteers wrap the items that the children purchase with wrapping paper and tape provided by Walmart for them to take home and place under their tree.
